Tuesday 20^th of September 2017 and I had 6 or 7 hours to kill before I should leave Ming Garden Hotel and Residences for Kota Kinabalu International Airport. I spent the time drinking tea in my room. Lunch, restaurant or my oatmeal, luckily enough I choose the oatmeal. Time turned quickly and it was soon time to leave.

I checked out at 4 o'clock and I was checking in to Malaysia Airlines flight MH2631 and MH796 at Kota Kinabalu International Airport 25 minutes later.

I went to MAS Golden Lounge where I spent the time waiting. Walking to the gate just to find out that flight MH2631 was delayed due to late arrival. No sign of the plane and the ground staff was blowing smoke up my behind.
- Departure will be 15 minutes late

Malaysian Airlines, never again. I'm not a professional aviator, but I could tell that we would not be leaving 15 minutes late. That is 30 minutes from now and the plane had not even arrived.

We, well, as no surprise to anyone, except the Malaysian Airlines staff we never made it on board for their “changed” departure time. It was almost an hour late when we finally took off. We have one hour transit time in Kuala Lumpur and I was start to plan for a night in Kuala Lumpur and to cancel tomorrow morning's whale watching.

Malaysian Airlines business class, with a bit of good will I call it economy “PLUS” My seat, the neck support was broken and it felt down as soon as I moved. Annoying, at least to say.

No table, only the folded table in the arm rest and not possible to use. So no way I could enjoy any food and tea as the seat next to me was occupied.

I watched a movie and when the movie came to an end we were descending to Kuala Lumpur and I was in Kuala Lumpur domestic terminal at 10 o'clock. 15 minutes until flight 796 to Bangkok departs. And there were a group of Thai girls that will catch the flight with me.

Malaysian Airlines flight MH 796 was delayed. But as with the other Malaysian Airways flights, the monitor is showing OPEN and departure time is set as the originally scheduled departure time. And as usually, at least it seems to be the normal technique in this area of the world, pull a number out of the hat.
- Departure in 15 minutes!

Nice job to have, no requirements, just to say a number and add the world “minutes” Impressive, a child can understand that there is no way the flight will depart in 15 minutes, boarding will not even be completed in 15 minutes after boarding starts.

We finally got off the ground and we were on the way to Suvarnabhumi International where we landed very late. Will not be much sleep before I take off for the whale watching tomorrow.

To top off my experience with Malaysian Airlines, my luggage didn't made it to Bangkok. More waiting and paper work and it was 3 o'clock before I was in bed with the alarm set to go off at 3 thirty. The taxi driver that took me home from Suvarnabhumi will pick me up at 7 o'clock tomorrow morning to go to Laem Pak Bia and the boat. Click HERE to find out if I see any whales.
