  Wednesday 25th of July 2018 and again, the breakfast starts at 7, but as they start a little early I could go to my car just after 7. I will pick up my nephews and we will drive to High Chaparral to look for cowboys. We follow road #E4 towards Stockholm and we stop at Laganrasten to see if we can see any birds. I stopped here on my way north and I spotted a whole lot of beautiful birds. But today we had no luck and we were soon on our way towards High Chaparral again. We continued towards High Chaparral and it was longer than I had expected. We arrived just before they opened High Chaparral and we were lucky, we managed to get a parking close to the entrance. They have a few cowboy cars outside the  entrance and this was an excellent photo opportunity. By the look of it, my nephews will be fill fledged cowboys by the time it is time to leave.
We bought three ticket and we were inside. There was a list with different times for the shows.  Cowboy cars at the entrance

We have an hour to kill before the Indian show starts. We walk through the cowboy town and we pass a shooting range, what an excellent opportunity for the nephews to train to become sheriffs.  A little gun practise can come in handy when we move over to Indian territory for the Indian show at 11 o'clock. The town was full of cap gun cowboys and the smell of cap smoke was laying over the streets. We stopped for some cap gun practice and a kind cowboy was loading the gun for my nephew. Indian show
The Indian show started at 11 o'clock and we, well, we had expected some arrow shooting and action. SWEET LORD! This was pure torture! It was some Indian dance show with music that tormented us, and we had suffered in the blazing sun waiting for this. I suggested to my nephews that we should leave and they looked very happy about the suggestion. We left the Indians behind and we walked towards the train station. We walked past a gold washing place and my oldest nephew wanted to try. But when we came in he changes his mind, it looked at least to say boring and pointless. We reached the train station and we bought three tickets and we had to wait for 10 minutes or so before the train came in to the station. We boarded the train and after a few minutes we left the train station steaming towards new adventures. I was at High Chaparral when I was a young boy some 45 years ago. I was on the train standing up and suddenly the train stopped and “robbers” came on board to “rob” the train. But I was standing on the bag with all the “gold” Will we be robbed today? I was making sure we didn't sat on any bags with “gold”  Walking back to the train station

Back from the train and we go to watch a WILD WEST SHOW and there are a concrete stand in front of a cowboy town scenery. The sun have been pounding the concrete all day long and it was impossible to sit down. The show was about some bag and gold and some cowboys, and as it is in Sweden cowgirls shooting at each other. I don't know, the show lasted for 15 to 20 minutes and it was nice when we could leave. We were getting hungry and the restaurant at High Chaparral didn't open until evening. There was of course the restaurant with self-service, nothing for me. So we left High Chaparral to look for a restaurant. A real restaurant and we left High Chaparral behind.  WILD WEST SHOW

As High Chaparral is in the middle of nowhere there is no restaurants around. We stopped at MAX hamburgers where we had stopped for milkshake when going to High Chaparral. Then it was closed, but now it was full so we continued. We found a hotel and we stopped for lunch. The restaurant was a wee bit of a disappointment. The food was good, but it was self-service and we had to run around with trays. But the salad buffet was excellent and they gave me a big beer mug for my tea. We had pasta and it was good. We were full, so no ice cream.  We're having lunch
We left the restaurant and I dropped my nephews before I went back to Hotel Marina Plaza. We have decided to go look for birds on Kullaberg tomorrow morning. We will have picnic lunch on Kullaberg tomorrow and I will pick up my nephews around 7 thirty. Click HERE to find out if we see any birds on Kullaberg tomorrow.
