Wednesday 10th of March 2021 and I start the eBird as soon as I get out on the street and set it to eBird hotspot: Paphos Lighthouse Area. This hotspot covers the way to the marina and then I will change to eBird hotspot: Paphos (Πάφος) Headland.
Seems to be high water so there was not much of birdlife on the water front. Of course a lot of House Sparrows and I could spot a couple of Cormorants and Yellow-legged Gulls sitting on some rocks out in the water.

I stop to buy fresh orange juice and water
I reach the marina and I stop to buy water and fresh orange juice. I enjoy my juice and I put the water bottle in my pocket. There is not any birds around and I continue towards Paphos Headland.

I turn off my eBird app and I restart the app with the eBird hotspot: Paphos (Πάφος) Headland. I walk along the coast on a paved walk, jogging and bike road. It is very strong wind, but it is southerly wind so it is warm air blowing in from Africa.
There are a lot of small birds struggling to fly in the wind and it was also hard to take pictures.

Same wreck that was here 3 years ago
I reached the Lighthouse Beach, this is the same beach I was birding with three years ago with CYPRUS BIRD WATCHING TOURS - BIRD IS THE WORD. And yes, this is the same Guide I use this time. Last time here we had a lot of waders. Today, no sign of any waders.
I was sitting on a bench looking for waders when I suddenly spotted one Common Sandpiper. I tied
to sneak up on the bird but the bird was very shy and no matter how much I sneaked I never came close to the Sandpiper.
I was following the Sandpiper when I discovered a Cormorant in the water. But now, walking back I walked against the sun and the bird was between me and the sun so not any good pictures.

I turn off my eBird app when I reach the marina and I turn on the all again, but now using eBird hotspot: Paphos Lighthouse Area. I will not report the birds I reported when coming here.
But it is lower water so there might be some birds at the water front.
But the only thing to report was four Yellow-legged Gulls and as I got pictures of the gulls and I reported them in my eBird app.

I stopped at the supermarket on the way home to buy some groceries. And I discover that the barber shop is open so I get a haircut as well. It was really nice with the haircut, something I have had wanted for a long time. My day had come to an end and we will go bird watching tomorrow again and my Guide will come to pick me up tomorrow morning at 6 thirty.
Click HERE to find out if we see any birds at Cape Greco tomorrow.
