   - Hmm, seems to be a handy program to have on my phone.
We could see the price and it would take about 5 minutes for the car to arrive to Holiday Inn. I had all the staff engaged in looking for bird watching tours for me while we were waiting for the  UBER car. I have Friday afternoon and the whole  Saturday to kill here in Bombay.
So I have planned to kill the time doing some bird watching in Bombay. The car from UBER arrived and we were soon on our way towards Sewri Mudflats, even called Sewri Flamingo Point. The driver had his phone with a map on the windshield. The whole thing is done on the phone, they book the car and they can see how many car there are in the area around you. So this is a program I will download, when I have time. We were soon driving through Bombay and according to the map  on the windshield it was about 45 minutes to go.
I knew we were approaching the area when I saw smokestacks and oil tanks. There are refineries and a power plant in the area and I had seen pictures on the internet, so yes, we were in the right direction. There were also salt farms and huge piles with salt. We had to pay a fee and when we opened the window there was a stank of piss. And the stank followed us while we were driving along.  So they had been doing a whole lot of pissing in the area.
We passed an opening in the trees and I could see the mudflats. There were many Flamingos and I was really happy and I got eager to reach the Sewri Flamingo Point. I got out of the car a few minutes later and I rushed out on the pier. It was a fantastic sight, the whole mudflat was pink of Flamingos, first time I ever see a Flamingo.  Sewri Flamingo Point

WOW and WOW!!! This was something really special. The mudflat was pink of flamingos and it was a very beautiful bird. And to see them in the wild, WOW, I was so happy I had made the trip down here. And I will be back tomorrow. I didn’t know where he (my fellow passenger coming here form Bangkok) had got it from that they were only here in December and January. Here was so many flamingos I could not have imagine it in my wildest dreams. On top of that we had an Oriental White Ibis (Black-Headed Ibis) several Plovers that I could not identify. And on top of that, a Wester Reef Heron, so it is two new birds for me today. NOT BAD! My UBER car had been waiting and we were leaving when I was ready at Sewri Flamingo Point. My driver threw out garbage through the window. I told him to stop and he had to pick up his garbage  again. Yes, not throwing any garbage when I'm around.
We were soon on our way and we watched the sun go down over Bombay on our way back to Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport. And as I'm hungry I will have my dinner when I'm back at the hotel. It took us about 30 to 40 minutes to get back to Holiday Inn and I asked the driver to come back at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. I have planned for a visit to the Hanging Garden and then yet another visit to Sewri Flamingo Point. Flamingos and I will take every opportunity I get to see them.   Sun is setting over Bombay

Back at the hotel and I ordered from the Ala Carte Menu. I had their buffet yesterday and, well, I had expected more. Spaghetti station and I asked for spaghetti with olive oil and onion only. I got a plate of cold spaghetti. I gave it a second try, now they brought another plate of cold spaghetti, but now they had added garlic. So today I asked for a lamb burger and a cheese paratha. A pot of tea and the food was good.  Back to my room and tomorrow it is time for the third day in school. Click HERE to find out what we will learn in school tomorrow.
