  I had have breakfast earlier this morning so I don´t need any more food until I get on board Turkish Airlines flight TK 1784. And I am really looking forward to some Turkish food.  On the way to the Kastrup, Copenhagen International Airport
Check-in was open when I arrived to the airport and I checked in, almost without any problem. I can have 2 carry on, 8 kg each and as I had bought snus it was a few kilo over the limit. I was thinking “what the duck” while she was thinking back and forth. She was pulling her face and I could see how she was juggling between OK and HAVE TO CHECK  IN. She decided it was OK and I left for the security. Passing through the fast track and I was soon through the security.

I had passed the security and I was packing up my stuff when I realised that I had forgot my new router down at the check-in. It was not whit out problem I could leave the security area. But they had my router at check-in and I was soon back at the security. Now I could not get in to the FAST TRACK and I had to go to the normal line. Never mind, I was soon through the security walking towards the lounge. She asked me what lounge I wanted to use when I checked in and as I never been to the Primeclass Lounge before she printed a ticket for me. I can always use the Star Alliance Lounge but the Primeclass Lounge was after the immigration and closer to the gate. This is what I was told, but I had to pass immigration and then walk back to sit above the Star Alliance Lounge. Not long until boarding of flight TK 1784 so I didn't bother to go to Star Alliance Lounge. Primeclass Lounge was, well, what a disappointment. I had a few glasses of water and I left for the gate. Boarding had started by the time I reached the gate. Departure time was changed from 11:15 to 11:00, fifteen minutes early. I was last to board and I took my seat and I ripped off my shoes. Still painful to walk in them, but I can feel that it is getting better. I got two glasses of water and we were taxi to the runway. I really enjoyed to sit in my chair with the shoes off. But I must use them as much as possible in order to be able to use them in Africa. But I will not use them during the 3 hours flight to Istanbul. I might have to walk a very long distance between the gates at Istanbul International. The food was excellent as always on board Turkish Airlines and the flight passed by very quickly.  All shoes off

I took on my shoes and we landed at Istanbul International and it was quite far to walk from the gate. No information about the gate for flight TK 058 to Bangkok. So I walked towards the lounge. I decided to book a golf cart from the lounge to the departure gate. They have a stall at the lounge and it cost 6€ to use the service. I took the escalator to the lounge and I really can't understand how Turkish Airlines have gone form the best lounge in the world to this (takes as much you can carry for 1€) lounge. Most of the seats are occupied and when you finally find a seat it is in the lap of the person next to you. I found a place and I went to get tea and baklava. Sitting down on the very low chair, I was actually sitting next to some playground for children with an airplane so I thought I was seated in the children area. But looking around and all the seats were the same heights so this was obviously the adult size chair I was sitting in.  I book a golf cart before going to the lounge

I had booked the golf cart for 17:00 but as soon as I was ready with my tea and baklava I ran in to boredom. I left the lounge to go see if I could leave with the golf cart before 17:00. There was a golf cart at the stall and it was no problem to take off 20 minutes earlier than I was booked for. I loaded my luggage on the golf cart. And of course, before taking off there was pictures that had to be taken. Finally on the cart, I was sitting up front and we could take off towards the gate. Arriving to gate A4 or something like that when I came from Copenhagen. When they finally put the gate on the screen I discovered that flight TK 058 departed from gate A7. So if I had knew this I could have walked straight to the gate when I arrived to Istanbul.  Ready to leave for gate A7

I was happy to have invested the 6€ when I realised how far it was to Gate 7A. Took us about 6 minutes to reach the gate using the golf cart. So this would have been a very long and painful walk. I was dropped at the BIZ gate but the boarding was 20 minutes late. And the helpful girl arranged for me to sit alone. All double seats was occupied but she managed to get the seat next to me empty and I was in a jolly mood waiting for the boarding to start. Boarding started after 20 minutes and I ripped off my shoes first thing when I was sitting down. I got in to the flight slippers and I asked for water. 10 hours to Bangkok and I was in a comfy seat so just bring it on! I drank water, ordering dinner and tea while waiting for take-off. As soon as we were airborne I turned on my WIFI and I was soon having tea and some Turkish delights at my seat. They were soon rolling in the dinner and as always, excellent food on Turkish.  I slept for an hour or so after dinner, then it was impossible to sleep. I was also suffering from a terrible restless leg. I got on line and I booked arrival service with a cart to come pick me up at the gate and a car from the airport back home. I was really tired as I didn't manage to fall asleep so it will be nice to be taken from the gate to immigration in a golf cart. And it was really nice to be able to order the service from the seat on board the plane.  I book arrival service
It was really annoying not to be able to sleep with my restless leg. I was turning and twisting in my flat bed for a few hours and it was suddenly time for breakfast. The breakfast was good and when we finished the breakfast we were approaching Bangkok. I felt asleep and they woke me up for landing and I was very tired. But I was happy to have arrived and I can't wait to get back home to get out of my shoes. The cart was at the gate and I was outside the terminal in a few minutes, long before my fellow passengers had reached the immigration.  Breakfast
