  Sunday 28th of April 2024 and my friend calls me at 5 o'clock. Our friend will be here at 6 o'clock. I had a shower and we went down to the reception 10 minutes before 6 o'clock. We checked out and we took a seat in the sofa while waiting for our friend. He arrived a few minutes after 6 o'clock, we said good bye and we left for the car.  Waiting for our friend
Our friend gave me a souvenir, a holy ring with Ai Kai from Wat Chedi / วัดเจดีย์. We had not find any nice amulets at Wat Chedi yesterday, and we had been a little disappointed. So, I was very happy with the ring. Original “MAGIC” from Wat Chedi. There is a lot of fake  amulets so if you are going to buy you must buy the amulets at the temple. Not  outside the temple, at the temple they have blessed all the “MAGIC”
Win the lottery “almost” guaranteed. If you buy the amulets along the street outside the temple no one guarantee anything. Some of the amulets are worth millions so there is a lot of fake. My friend have been interested in Thai Buddha amulet/ พระเครื่อง for a very long time. Long before people in general had any interest. And he has got all of them from the hands of the monk. We went to our breakfast restaurant and the breakfast was good and we were happy when we left for the airport. Took us about 30 minutes to reach the airport. And as we are in the south of Thailand there was a little bit of security check before we could drive in to the airport area. We reach the terminal and we get out at the departure hall. There is a lot of passengers, as expected on a Sunday morning. People are going back home after the weekend.  Time to say good bye

We say good bye and we need to pass another security to enter the terminal. We found the Thai Airways check-in and we had checked in to flight TG 260 after a minute or two. There is no lounge at Hat Yai airport and we got vouchers that we could use in the departure hall. Passing yet another security check and we were in the departure hall. My friend tried to use the vouchers but they were not accepted in any of the coffee shops.  Departure Hall

Time passes quite quickly and we were soon called to Gate 5 and we could board flight TG 260 to Bangkok. We were boarding as third and fourth passengers so we got space in the overhead bins. The flight is full so there is a risk for the overhead bins to be full. We took our seats and the flight departed in time so we expect to be in Bangkok at 10:35  Time to board the flight

Back home around 11 thirty and I took two of the Luang Pu Tuad/ ลวงปู่ทวด statues from Wat Chang Hai/ วัดช้างให้ and we left for the motorcycle repair shop. I gave the Mechanic the small statue and I asked him if he could put the second one on my scooter. The Mechanic was happy for the Luang Pu Tuad/ ลวงปู่ทวด statue when he heard that it was an original from Wat Chang Hai/ วัดช้างให้. My friend told him that we just arrived back from Hat Yai and the statues are fresh from the temple. He would think of any way to attached the Luang Pu Tuad/ ลวงปู่ทวด statue on my scooter and we would come back tomorrow afternoon. +++++++++++++++
Monday 29th of April 2024 and I take off to Chaiyasit Muay Thai Gym for 10 rounds with The Red Devil (ปีศาจแดง ก.กุมานนท์) My yoga Teacher is delayed in Chiang Mai so no yoga until Wednesday.
 Filling gas in my scooter
I stop to fill gas in my scooter, 150 Baht and this will take me to the gym and back almost 3 times. Well, 3 times, most likely but I do not want to stretch it. Better safe than sorry. Back home and I have a shower and I drive to pick up my friend before going to the motorcycle repair shop. We left the scooter there and we took a taxi to Bangkok to pick up my AIS router in my condo. I have cancelled my WIFI and they want the router back.  I am driving to Chaiyasit Muay Thai Gym every day and it is now taking just a wee bit more than an hour. First time it took me almost two hours, but now I am used to the traffic and I get in to  the flow. 37 km to the gym so I keep an average of 37 km/h. Most of the other people on the road are over taking me on my way and driving between the cars looking in the rearview mirrors and I have a long line of motorcycles behind me. I stop between two cars the let them pass and I continue last in the line. Looks better this way, Lard Ass in front blocking the traffic, so last it is. And driving with my new glasses is like a dream. The biggest I could find that they could fit with prescription lens. My new glasses are almost covering almost the full face so no need to cry when driving with my small glasses.  Clinching

No birding for a long time now, so I will take the opportunity this very Sunday when Chaiyasit Muay Thai Gym is closed. And the purpose of buying my scooter was to go bird watching, of course, also to be used as a “gym” scooter. So I am looking forward to a new “Birding on a scooter” adventure.
