  Afraid that I will eat the sausage all by myself destroying my diet. I bought 2 kg of Swedish chocolate as well, and I had to give away almost all of it, I still have 400 gr in my fridge. Proud of  myself, I have not have had one single piece of chocolate. Talk about self-control!
We finish our session at Chaiyasit Muay Thai Gym (ไชยสิทธิ์มวยไทยยิม) and we took off to The Red Devil (ปีศาจแดง ก.กุมานนท์) house.  Sausages

Preparing the sausage, about 5 kg and we had 2kg pork collar just in case they would not like the  Swedish sausage. The Red Devil was worried that it was not enough. So, he had told Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) to buy 4 kg of meat on the way.
I was worried that we would not be able to eat all the food. Same at the last BBQ, we had a cubic ton of pork collar, but they managed to finish all the meat. The grill was soon ready for the food and The Red Devil filled up the grill with food. 
I was full in a jiff, but the food kept on coming. I could not eat more than a couple of sausages and some collared pork. There is so much sausage, but they eat all the sausages, and I was worried that they would not like the sausages. There was no food remaining when we left. Well, I could bring one Falukorv with me back home. A little something to enjoy at home.  The grill is ready for BBQ

 We are leaving Bangkok on Friday morning. We will check in to our hotel before going to Robinson Department Store Chanthaburi so Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) can weight in. There is a temporary boxing ring at Robinson Department Store for the fight on Saturday. +++++++++++++++
Friday 18th of September 2026 and the car was waiting for me when I came down 10 minutes before 7 o'clock. We loaded my weekend bag in the back and we took off towards Chaiyasit Muay Thai Gym (ไชยสิทธิ์มวยไทยยิม)
I will pick up Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) and The Red devil’s son at the gym 8 o'clock. Reaching the gym quarter to 8 and Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) was preparing. The gym opens at 9 o'clock and I was surprised that there was one guy training already. And he left just before 8 o'clock so he must have been there early morning. There is a lot of stuff to bring to Chanthaburi as Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) already know that he has to do some jogging wearing the “HOT SUIT” skipping ropes and a dumbbell went in to the back of the car. We make a stop at 7 eleven to buy some refreshments and we take off towards Chanthaburi. Coming out on the highway and we ran in to heavy traffic, but it got better after Suvarnabhumi and we hauled arse down the highway. The driver will come to the hotel to pick me up at 16:40 and we will go to the boat. I will spend an hour to look at the Brahminy Kites, the only thing I am worried about is the light, and of course, the rain. Nothing I wish for sitting in the boat.  On our way to Chanthaburi

Gloom and grey for long as we can see, but no rain until we reached Chanthaburi. Light rain only and it was soon stopping. We stepped in to The Motifs - Eco Hotel just before 12 o'clock. Check-in at 2 o'clock and they were cleaning the rooms. My  room was ready so we could use my room while waiting for the other room to get ready.
They will inform us as soon as the room is cleaned and they knocked on my door after 20-30 minutes. The other room was ready. We will have to be at Robinson at 2 o'clock for weight-in, registration and medical check-up. And Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) know that he needs to lose weight. So, he will do the “HOT SUIT” and jogging around before stepping up on the scale.  The Motifs - Eco Hotel

Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) left for Robinson and I will meet them there at 2 o'clock. I book a GRAB and I see Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) jogging around Robinson when I arrive with the GRAB. He fail the first time he steps up on the scale and he have to do another session of running again.
Passing the second time he weights in and now he could go to the Doctor check-up. There was a lot of fighters and I realised that there would be no time for food before going to look for birds. We want to have Korean BBQ and we had been recommended ร้าน กามิ from the staff at the hotel reception. They told us that it was the best Korean Restaurant in Chanthaburi. We will have to go there when I am back from my bird watching. We booked a GRAB to get back to The Motifs Eco Hotel. Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม)  had not been eating properly for a couple of days so he bought some food to bring back to the room.
Getting a LINE message at 4 o'clock, my driver had arrived and I could leave whenever I wanted. Good, 4 o'clock and I can leave early. Gloom and grey for long as I can see and I was worried about taking pictures. Coming down to the boat and the sky is full of Brahminy Kites.   Continuing out on the Red Hawk Sea
There hundreds of the Brahminy Kites flying around. But it was too dark for any good pictures. The sky was covered in black clouds, but we were lucky with the rain. Only an annoying drizzle every now and then. We reached a tree in the middle of the Red Hawk Sea. My Guide wanted to continue but I told him that we could go back to the car. Pointless to try to take any pictures. And I was getting hungry and I was really looking forward to Korean BBQ at ร้าน กามิ. We had been on the boat for an hour so I had got value for my money. Turning off my eBird app when we arrived to the jetty. I managed to crawl out of the boat. I was happy with the tour on the Red Hawk Sea and I am sure to be back again. In to the car and we made a stop at 7 Eleven for refreshments before continuing to the hotel. I left my refreshments in my room and we took off to ร้าน กามิ for some BBQ. Took us about 10 minutes to get to the ร้าน กามิ with GRAB. There was only one table available in the AC section, and that table was reserved. we went outside to the outdoor seating area, we were pondering the idea of sitting outside when they came to tell us that we could sit inside.  ร้าน กามิ

Saturday 19th of May 2026 and we meet in the restaurant at 8 o'clock for breakfast. The Red Devil (ปีศาจแดง ก.กุมานนท์) and the rest of Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) have left Bangkok.

We finish the breakfast and I go to my room. The Red Devil (ปีศาจแดง ก.กุมานนท์) is calling me at 12 o'clock, they have just arrived. Knock on my door and I open the door. I recognize Red Devil's friend, I used to have a bar/ club on the other side of Praya Chai River in Bangkok. I have not seen him since we went there many years ago, and I was making, of course, a tit out of myself. Well, I met him when Red Devil had his wedding party a couple of years ago. We have a couple of hours to kill before we have to leave for Robinson and the fight. we decided to go for a tour with the boat to have a look at the Brahminy Kite. I had contacted the tour guide during breakfast to see how long STAND-BY time he needs to get the boat tour going. I want to see if we have some sunshine and I will call them. My friends wanted to go, and it looked to be OK and I called the guide.  Leaving the hotel

Our Guide come to pick us up at the hotel and we drive to the jetty, a 10 to 15 minutes’ drive. We have to wait for a couple of minutes for the boat. We see the boat coming down the river and we are ready to board when the boat come along side. I am the first one the get onboard followed by my friend. The guide will join us as well. Well, he is not the Guide, he has to company I book everything through. The other driver is off today so he will take care of the transportation between the boat and hotel. We are all seated and we are taking off. There are not as many of the Brahminy Kites today. Yesterday the sky was black of the Brahminy Kites. But we had not been on our way for long before we had about 35 Brahminy Kites flying around us.  Brahminy Kite

I can hear one Collared Kingfisher, but no sight of the bird. But I manage to catch sight of four them before we turned around to go back to the car. Need to be back at the hotel at 3 o'clock. I asked the boat driver to go back to the car at 2 thirty. I could add two Racket-tailed Treepie to me eBird checklist before we turned around. We had enjoyed the trip and there was enough light for taking pictures.  Looking for birds

Approaching the jetty and I can add one more bird to my eBird checklist, a Little Egret. I expected the Little Egret to take off when we came closer. The bird did not even flinch when we passed the bird so I could get some pictures. I am first out of the boat and we are all happy with the boat tour. We have planned to leave the hotel at 4 thirty, but they are a wee bit delayed in the room. We will walk to Robinson, about 1 km. I leave first as they are not yet ready, and the boredom waiting in the reception drives me out on the road. Walking towards Robinson, just leaving the hotel behind and it starts to rain. Not a heavy rain and I do not mind. About to cross the bridge over the river and The Red devil pass in the car, they had obviously decided to take the car because of the rain. He stops and he join me walking to Robinson. We arrive to the boxing ring and Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) is busy doing yet more documents. We get our access PASS to hang around our neck. Hanging the pass around my neck and I walk around to have a look at the ring. They have done a good job putting together the ring. I went to look for a restaurant, I had lost Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) so I ended up at a Japanese Restaurant at Robinson.  Walking to Robinson

  I order food and I just pop next door to TOPS to buy some Diet Drinks as they do not have anything to ding that I want to drink at the restaurant. Buying refreshments at TOPS and The Red Devil calls me and he and his friend will come to the restaurant. TOPS, never mind where you are in Thailand, there are a TOPS. And they all have one thing in common, there is really no staff at the check-out. People in line and only two check-out is open. This will take forever and I left. My friend where waiting for me at the restaurant and my food was on the table waiting for me. I ordered refreshments from GRAB and they brought me two bottles to the table. GRAB delivery guy looked confused looking in his phone looking for the delivery spot. I don’t think he had delivered drinks to a restaurant before.  GRAB looking for me

It is raining and Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) will not fight until 10 o'clock. 3 to 4 hours waiting in the rain, no place to sit down and Red Devil's friend drove me back the hotel. He told me that he would come to pick me up before Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) fight. But I will take a GRAB, if I am awake by then. Must have been a lot of KNOCK OUTS and The Red Devil (ปีศาจแดง ก.กุมานนท์) called me 20  minutes before 9 o'clock. Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) will fight in the next fight and I took a GRAB.
The fight ended in a KNOCK-OUT just as I arrived and it was our turn to get in to the ring.  Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม)
The fight starts and they did not let me in Ringside, Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม), we were 6 people and only 3 allowed ring side. So, it was pointless for me to stay and I booked a GRAB and I  returned to the hotel and my bed.
Action filled days and I was really tired, and it was almost 10 o'clock in the evening and I am used to be in bed by that time. Round 1

Sunday 19th of September 2026 and I go for breakfast at 8 o’clock and Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) and Tiger comes a few minutes later. Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) is out jogging as he need to lose weight. We will stop in Pattaya on the way back to Bangkok.
He has a fight tomorrow and we will weigh-in at Max Muay Thai Stadium today. And I learned that Sniper Aladdin Gym (สไนเปอร์ อะลาดินยิม) won the fight by knock out in the third round yesterday.  Breakfast

 We leave The Motifs - Eco Hotel and we expect to be at Olearys.s.b.d just outside Rayong in Ban Phe in about 2 hours. I will pick up some Swedish Sausages on our way to Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya. The car was waiting at the parking when we checked out, I had got a message from the driver 20 minutes before 10 o'clock. The Driver was STAND-BY It is pouring down when we leave the hotel and I was happy that we decided to leave early. We have four hours to get to Max Muay Thai Stadium and we can drive slow in the rain.  Leaving Chanthaburi and it is pouring down
Driving towards Ban Phe and we passed a few flooded areas on the way. Coming down to Ban Phe sea front and the road was like a river. Leaving Ban Phe after having picked up my food and we had to turn around going to the highway. They had road workers starting to put up road blocks and we made a U-turn. We could see that the water reached half way up the cars in the water. Arriving to Max Muay Thai Stadium 20 minutes past 1 o'clock and we will have to kill some time  until 2 o'clock. Time passed quite quickly and no need for Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) to do any jogging as he weighs in at 59 kg.
We were hungry, next stop Hops Brewhouse for some pizza before continuing to Bangkok.  Max Muay Thai Stadium

I am back in my room at 5 thirty and I prepare my bag, and I book a GRAB to take me to the  airport tomorrow. Pick-up time at lunch and my flight to Auckland via Singapore is leaving at 15 thirty.
Not much to pack, a couple of shirts and a windbreaker, my camera and laptop. So, it did not take many minutes. You just need to click HERE to find out if I make it all the way to Auckland.
