Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk

Tuesday 1st of October 2013 and I was full of vim when I woke up a few minutes before my alarm went off. I was lucky falling asleep yesterday and we have a long day in front of us so I need to be thoroughly rested.

The day passed by quite quickly and lunch was a great success tenderloin and salad and 30 minutes of Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st constitutional. Dinner was not so success full, but tomorrow.... We are back to the “after dinner movies” routines and I will Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st hopefully be able to start the Learn Thai with Mod and the Alif Silpachai videos tomorrow. And the books...

+++++++++++++++
Wednesday 2nd of October 2013
and I woke up with my alarm at 7 twenty. I had been lucky yesterday and I managed to fall asleep. 2 days now and I'm usually running out of luck on the third, but that will be the problem tonight.

Vitamins with my lemon flavored magnesium “FIZZ” drink and a shower and I was off to the mess room for 2 slices of black bread and tea before it was time to put the crew in to work at 8 o'clock Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskin the CCR.

I stopped in the kitchen to check out what our Cook and Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stCadet had planned for today. They were having a lot of stuff cooking and I reminded them about my diet.
- Black bread only

I had my tea and black bread with cheese before I went to the crew in the CCR for our “Good morning PEP” meeting. Nice weather on deck, but very hot. We had a few guys to continue chipping our Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersksteam lines. One AB continued to repair the platform to the accommodation ladder on star board side.

Our Cadet was going to help our Pump Man with #1 isolation valve. Not working so an overhaul is required. Well, before chasing the crew out on deck we had a “Good morning GROUP HUG” and the crew was pepped when they left the CCR.

As soon as the crew left for deck I went on deck with our Chief Engineer. We had got an e-mail about a leaking FRAMO bulkhead penetration and we went to check out FRAMO system. We had the new system so there should not be any problem.

Our AB at the accommodation ladder completed his job, only painting remaining and he fixed a rail that had been damaged by our hose crane. A really good AB handy with metal Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stwork and welding so he comes in handy.

I finished all the drill planning for tomorrow and it was soon time for lunch. Our Cadet and pump Man was almost ready with the valve, well, they were ready. Just a few bolts that needed tightening. Pump Man will do this after Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersklunch and our Cadet will spend the afternoon relaxing.

That’s what he thought, I gave him one FRAMO binder and the ISGOTT. He has to read the FRAMO so he knows this on Saturday when they are going to purge the pumps.

So he will be busy studying in the afternoons from now on. We will measure gas tomorrow and he can Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stprepare himself reading chapter 10 and 11 in ISGOTT.

I took the cargo temperatures at 17:30 before going to dinner. Dinner and my diet took a hit after a pretty good day with black bread and an hour of Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st constitutional around the accommodation.

+++++++++++++++
Thursday 3rd of October 2013
and We started with the “Good morning PEP” meeting in my office Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stat 8 o'clock. The crew was asking for the by now quite popular group hug.

So of course we had a group hug before they were sent out on deck. Pump Man, the Cadet and one of the ABs were going to adjust the limit switch on the deck crane so I needed to do a Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk“working aloft” work permit.

No end to the paper work, Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stthe guys were preparing for the work and when they were done the came back to my office for a TOOL BOX talk and we signed work permit and risk assessments.

They were ready with the crane in less than an hour and I was very happy when the limit switch worked properly 20 minutes before the coffee break.

We were going to held drills after lunch. Gas leak in the pump room, fire, explosion and severely injured person. I reported the gas leak at 12 thirty and the alarm went off.

We mustered in the CCR. Pre paring IG hoses to purge the pump room when suddenly the gas Fire drill on board M/T Roy Maerskcaught fire and we had to start the fire alarm. Smoke divers for boundary cooling Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskinside the super structure and we have to extinguish with the CO2 in the pump room.

We had an AB suffering from a heart attack in all the excitements and we brought out our defillbrator and the crew was instructed in the use of defillbrator and the resuscitation equipment.

We had one drill remaining and we went up to the life boat and we had a life boat muster before I could send the crew to continue their work on deck and I returned to my office.

Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk
Life boat muster

The day disappeared very quickly and it was soon 17 thirty and time for dinner. I had had an excellent day regarding to the diet, but the dinner finished with 2 big pieces of chocolate cake with Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskwhipped cream. Yes, a huge Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stset back. And on my way back to my cabin I stopped to get a can of Milo in the kitchen.

But this is my last can of Milo and for sure, no more cake.

But I watched the Learn Thai with Mod and the Alif Silpachai videos before I went for our after dinner movie. The Inbetweeners - The Movie.

Well, it was OK at times, but the TV series was way better. And as we will advance ship's time by one hour during the night it was like 11 when the movie was over. I was tired, but it was impossible to fall asleep. I went to check my e-mail, from my bank and I sold my Nokia stocks loosing 50%. Better than expected, I had paid 90 + and they were down to 19. So I was surprised when I got the confirmation, sold for 42 point something. Still a loss, but now I don't have to think about the darn Nokia any more.

Now I just have to get rid of the other stocks, been nothing but a total disaster. I will Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st hopefully be able to put this experience behind me soon. Well, this loss was nagging on me for 20 minutes, but then I just feel good not to have to worry about the darn Nokia again. Better to spend the money on party and a good time.

+++++++++++++++
Friday 4th of October 2013
and we started the day in my office, the crew left for new exciting tasks and our Pump Man and Cadet went to measure gas in the tanks. When they were ready we checked our UTI's conductivity. Our deck Cadet were pretty excited about all the new stuff he Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersklearned. When we were ready it was time to calibrate our gas detectors and our 2nd Officer and Cadet joined me around the table in the office.

I had asked our Cadet to prepare all the gas detectors and to pair them with the correct test gas bottles. The excitement started by calibrating our personal gas detectors. We remember the GX 2009 from Richard Maersk and the tutorial video on YOU TUBE.

We tested and calibrated our GX 2009 and our Cadet and 2nd Officer was delirious with excitements. But there was more to come, we have 2 Riken Keiki 416 for O2 and HC VOL% and Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy MaerskLEL%. They did one each so now they know how to calibrate the instruments.

We had one more instrument to go before we were ready. We returned all the equipment when we were ready and it was almost time for lunch. I had time to go check out our Suez light davit on the fo'c's'le before lunch.

One of our ABs was greasing and he had been running in to trouble and he needed help. One ball bearing had seized and we had to request a new ball bearing for the davit.

Well, I don't know if it was due to the advance of the ship's time during the night, but I was tired and I had a very quick lunch and I went for a 30 minutes POWER nap Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st before I continued the hard work in the afternoon.

Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk
Here we go
That's the spirit, don't be afraid!

Dinner and I had 2 slices of black bread, some potatoes and tomatoes and some cantaloupe with a bucket of tea. I was hungry when I left the mess room, but now it is time to get serious with the diet. Now I hope Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st I manage to get through our after dinner movie with out any snacks.

+++++++++++++++
Saturday 5th of October 2013
and I was half awake already when my alarm went off at 7 twenty. Vitamins and lemon flavored magnesium “FIZZ” drink at my desk before going in to the shower. I Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskwas in the mess room for 2 slices of black bread with cheese and tea 5 minutes before 8 o'clock. I stepped in to my office at 8 and the crew was waiting for today's tasks.
- Ass holes and Motherfoockers!
- GOOD MORNING BOSS!

We sorted out today's work and I had hardly finished giving out the jobs when one of the ABs Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stthrew himself over me. I think he have misunderstood the whole idea with the group hug.
- WHOA WHOA!!!

Everything was soon back to order and we had our GOOD MORNING “pep” group hug and I chased Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskthem out on deck for a day full of arse kicking.

Our Pump Man and Cadet were purging the FRAMO pumps while I did the heating log and report. Our Cadet had studied our FRAMO books and we will have a small test with our Cadet when they are ready on deck.

As we call it, hands on training, study the book and then straight out on deck to practice the new learnt lessons. Our Pump Man was bringing in the manifold manometers and we will test them with a certified manometer in the CCR, yet another Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskvaluable experience for our Cadet. Someone once told me that the only thing you couldn't buy for money was experience, so right he was.

We have a certified manometer on a hand pump and we connect the manometer to be tested and we compare the result, 5, 10 and 15 bars and I make a log over each of our manifold manometers, 15 manometers in total to be tested.
Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk

Our Cadet and 2nd Engineer got started with the job, Pump Man had started to remove the manometers while I was testing our Cadet on the FRAMO purging thing.

The first test manometer we got to the CCR didn't make any sense, yeah, we didn't understand how to use it and there were no instructions. So we had to go down to get another one, pretty much the same and no instructions, but this machine made a lot of sense and we were soon up and running with the test of the manometers.

Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk
Future Chief officers
Nit o Flit

We were kicking arse, well, they were kicking arse while I was taking the records at my desk for Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stAladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskthe TEST CERTIFICATE. Yes, Chief Officer always busy with the important stuff. But not more busy than I had time to sneak away for a smoke with our Pump Man

Everything worked beautifully and we finished NOT ONLY the manifold manometers before lunch. We had also checked our IG pressure sensors in the cargo tanks with a certified manometer. So I was in a pretty good mood when I went for lunch.

I told our Cadet to prepare himself for Monday.
- We will test and adjust closing and opening times of our cargo valves.
This was obviously something he was looking forward to and he was turning cartwheels around my office screaming.
- YIIIPEEEE!

My lunch Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st constitutional was delayed by 30 minutes due to work with the manometer certificate and it was 13 thirty when I had completed my constitutional. And they were about to complete a Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskjob with a anchor light on the poop deck by then. We have one very good AB and he is handy with welding and metal work.

So I have had him to repair many things on deck. And now he was working with a broken anchor light.

Yes, we have a very good team on deck, and Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st hmm, can it be? Because of the good morning PEP group hug? Maybe! Well, anyway, they are kicking arse on deck and that's the spirit we're looking for.

He finished the anchor light and I instantly found 2 new jobs for him and he dashed off to fix the job. And I'm sure that he will do a very good job, we will see on Monday when he is ready.

Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk
Finished with the anchor light

I always use to recommend the company to send the good guys for a welding and some work shop courses/ training, but the recommendations always pass by unnoticed. Well, their loss, a guy able to weld on board is worth millions for the company. And yes, this is something I have experienced in other companies. But what do we know? We're only working on the ships!

+++++++++++++++
Sunday 6th of October 2013
and I woke up at 11 o'clock. I slept like a baby between 8 and 11. And I had a terrible sleep until 8 o'clock, at least I think I'm sleeping. For the second night I have been dreaming that I was awake tossin' and turnin' in bed all night long. I'm pretty sure it is a dream, and the sleep is terrible.

I took the cargo temps and I sent the report. My shower is leaving plenty to wish for so our Chief Engineer and I removed the blender and we took it down to the work shop and ipsi wipsi wu I had pressure in my shower again.

We have two hurricanes, or Typhoons as they are called here, in front of us

We have had a gloomy and grey day with increasing sea and wind. We have 2 hurricanes in front of us and it looks like we’re going clear of the second one, named DANAS is not changing course. The first one reaches China tomorrow and we will Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st hopefully dodge all the bad weather.

Monday 7th of October 2013
and it felt like I was awake when my alarm clock went off, but I'm almost sure I was asleep. I had my vitamins Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st and the lemon flavored magnesium “FIZZ” drink Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stbefore I went for my shower. And well, I had 2 cancer sticks with my vitamins.

I had 2 slices of black bread with cheese and a cup of tea before going to my office. I stepped in to my office at 8 and the crew was waiting for today's tasks.
- Ass holes and Motherfoockers!
- GOOD MORNING BOSS!

I took my seat and I was just about to start handing out today's VERY important tasks on deck Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskwhen I came under attack. One of the ABs threw himself over me. This is what we call a “ATTACK” hug Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st
- WHOA WHOA MOTHERFOOCKER!!!!!

What the hell is wrong? I had to tell Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.sthim to calm down so we could get the work orders in order.
Chipping and painting and greasing of our winches.

Pump Man and our Cadet would adjust the cargo valves opening and closing times with me and our 2nd Officer.

Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk
I was still in shock after the “ATTACK” hug and they had to do the group hug by themselves
Of course, a good training for them. They can't expect me to be around forever arranging the GOOD MORNING “PEP” group hug

We sorted out today's important work and as I was still in shock after the “ATTACK” hug I just watched the guys and the group hug.
Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st - OK ALREADY! FOOCK OFF OUT ON DECK!!!

I did the cargo heating logs and reports and when I was ready we started to adjust closing and opening times of the cargo valves. We had an Technician on board for our cargo valves in Singapore and he gave me a HOT TIP.

Always have the hydraulic full open on the solenoids and adjust closing and opening time on the valves to avoid air to get in to the hydraulic oil system.

And as he had opened all the screw (for open or closing the hydraulic pipes) to full open we had to adjust all the valves on deck by adjusting the screw on the hydraulic inlet to the valves. Open and Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskclosing while measuring the time and open or close the screws until we had around 25 - 30 seconds opening and closing time.

And as I told Pump Man “Our Cadet is very lucky to get all this experience and he learns a lot”
And our Pump Man's reply “Pump Man also learning”
Yes, we're all learning and even though I had been up 24 foocking 7 when the Technician arrived I wanted to be with him. Of course, a waste of money to send on board a Technician if there is no one around to learn a bit. We had completed almost half of the valves when it was time Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskfor lunch. And as our Cadet went for his afternoon rest we decided to continue the work tomorrow. He need all the training he can get.

I'm almost envying our Cadets, so much new stuff to learn. I told our Pump Man that we would wait with our emergency hand pump and the deck seal for the IG until tomorrow when our Cadet will be on deck again.

And believe me, there will be some exciting stuff taking place tomorrow for our Cadet.

Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st - Hmm, lunch and a 30 minutes constitutional. Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st How did I spend the afternoon? Yeah, discharge plan, updating records and other exciting and important stuff. Never a dull moment around here

Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk
We have all kinds of birds on deck

Soon time for dinner and I was soon back in my cabin for some Learn Thai with Mod and the Alif Silpachai videos. I managed to complete almost all my Thai books yesterday and I will try to complete them today. But first a hot “Chocolate Surprise”

+++++++++++++++
Tuesday 8th of October 2013
and I was full of vim when I swung myself out of bed to turn off my alarm 20 past 7. Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st A lemon flavored magnesium “FIZZ” drink with my vitamins, a hot shower Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskand I felt like a million when I stepped in to my office at 8 o'clock. The crew was waiting.
- Ass holes and Motherfoockers!
- GOOD MORNING BOSS!

We discussed today's job. But we would start the day by demonstrating the emergency hand pump for the cargo valves.

Comes in handy if we lose the hydraulic power for the remote controlled valves. So I needed all crew on deck for this. And when we were ready we had 2 ABs that needed to take a “Video on demand” security training course so all crew are fully licensed. But we had to “KICK” off all the excitement with a good morning PEP group hug. Surprisingly enough, all crew managed to restrain themselves and Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskeverything went calm Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stwithout any attack hugs.

Pump Man started with the emergency hand pump and then we had one of the ABs to do it while the rest of the crew was watching delirious with excitement.

Our deck Cadet was the last one to try and when we were ready they could start their job painting and chipping. 2 guys were off for the video training and Pump Man, Cadet, Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk2nd Officer and I continued to adjust the opening/ closing times for the cargo valves.

We had about half of the cargo valves remaining from yesterday and it took us an hour or two before they were adjusted to the correct opening and closing time. But there was more exciting stuff ahead for our Cadet. We will remove the sight glass from the deck seal and we will try out our ODME.

We stopped the deck seal pump and we removed and cleaned the glass on the deck seal and when this was done it was time for a Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stquick PEP meeting in Pump Man's cabin. We will walk through the ODME test and when we were ready we returned to the CCR. We had already removed the canvas covering the valves on the ODME when we worked Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskwith the deck seal.

We were ready just in time for lunch, one more test to be done, but we do this tomorrow when the Cadet will be with us again. I gave him plenty to study for the afternoon and we were off to lunch. I had my 30 minutes of constitutional Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st at lunch and I felt quite good with myself. Now Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stI just have to stop eating.

The crew was busy on deck and I was reading a manual in my office. We had been looking for the ODME manual for our Cadet to study during the afternoon but it seems like we only have an “Electronic” version

Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk
Always something to do on a ship

I was on deck checking valves and I went to the engine room to look for some of the valves. Our 2nd Engineer came by to show me where they were. I had seen them before, but I didn't remember Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskwhere. But now I know where they are located. I was soon back in my office and I remembered our new refrigerator. We need to move the potato peeler and I went to check it out with our 2nd Engineer.

As soon as the electric cables are gone I can have two of my TOP GUNS to remove the potato peeler machine.

The days are passing by very quickly and it was soon time for dinner and as we killed an hour bragging for each other around the table there wasn't much time to Learn Thai with Mod and the Alif Silpachai videos before it was time for our after DINNER movie at 8. But there will Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st hopefully be both time to Learn Thai with Mod and the Alif Silpachai videos and to open my Thai books after the movie.

+++++++++++++++
Wednesday 9th of October 2013
and yet again, I was full of vim when my alarm went off 20 minutes past 7 and I swung myself out of bed. Well, not exactly swinging myself out of bed. Now Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy MaerskI have a pain in my left arm in addition to the pain in my right shoulder and upper arm after the fall in Egypt.

I was in an excellent mood when I walked in to my office at 8 o'clock. I got the news that one of our hydraulic pipes for the remote valves were leaking.

We had our group hug and we went on deck to investigate. The pipes are covered in a plastic tube and I expected a very long time for us to locate the leak. But we had found and repaired the hydraulic pipe in 90 minutes and I was in a very good mood.

It was a gorgeous day and we were passing through the Okinawa Islands and we passed a volcano when I had my 30 minutes Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st constitutional after our safety meeting. Safety meeting and it was almost 2 o'clock when I took my constitutional.

Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maersk
Some volcano island around Okinawa (I think)

The day passed very quickly and we just finished the pressure test of our cargo lines and it was time for dinner. After dinner movie and I managed to dodge the snacks, I had won 20 items of my choice from the slop chest this very morning. Just before our good morning “PEP” hug our Cadet pointed at me and said.
- You have a Danish artist on your leg
- No, he is not Danish
- Yes he is!
He was very persistent and I told him that everything was Danish according to him.
- The food, The movie Ebberöd's Bank from 1926 (Æbberød's Bank in Danish from 1943) and now Edward Munch

Well, he wanted a bet and as I don't make bets I said no. I have had enough of betting in my life and it is just problem winning these bets. First problem is that people have to admit they are wrong and on top of that they have to give me money. Well, after some nagging I agreed on 20 items of our choice to the winner.

Well, I have to pick up 20 items from the slop chest, but I think I skip the snacks, good for my Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stdiet and our Cadet save some money. And it had been a day with only black bread and cheese. Now I only need to give up the hot chocolate, I'm drinking buckets of it and the Milo is for sure not doing any good for me trying to lose weight.

+++++++++++++++
Thursday 10th of October 2013
and today there wasn't any “swung” out of the bed when the alarm went off at 07:20. It was OK, but not much like the last few days. But it was quite OK after the Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy MaerskYet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st lemon flavored magnesium “FIZZ” drink with my vitamins and 15 Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stminutes in a hot shower.

I was in the mess room, well, seems like all clocks are showing the time a wee bit different. But it must have been between 10 and 5 minutes before 8 o'clock.

I had 2 slices of bread with cheese while chatting with our 2nd Engineer and I gulped me tea and I dashed off to my office.

The crew was waiting when I stepped in to my office 1 minute before 8 o'clock. The crew was at least to say delirious by anticipation, I don't know if it was because of today's excitements on Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskdeck or if it was because of the group hug. The enthusiasm was bubbling in their blood and today they will clean our Port side fresh water tank.

They have transferred the water to Starboard side during the night. As soon as we were ready with the good morning “PEP” group hug they dashed off to prepare the equipment. Well, one of the ABs handed out some good morning “spanking” before they took off.

I did my heating logs and reports and work permits and risk assessment while they prepared the equipment. There is no end to Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stthe paper work in my office.

I was ready with the paper work when they returned to my office and we went down to measure the tank for gas before they could enter the tank.

2 of the ABs went in to the tank with a high pressure washer and brushes and one of the ABs were outside guarding the man hole and operating the pump that pumped out the Aladdin's adventure on board M/T Roy Maerskwater to the poop deck via a long hose.

As soon as they were started our Cadet and I went to test our ODME. Should be done once a month and we tested the 30lit/nm and the total discharge alarms and the automatic valves. It worked well and we went for the coffee break.

We need to test the bilge alarm in the echo sounder room and that means that we have to go down to the bow thruster room. We had been waiting for the Engineers to be ready with something forward so the ABs could go down to mop some hydraulic oil. And of course, we need to open the man hole to the echo sounder room.

Our guys were ready with the manhole just in time for lunch and we went down to test the alarm after lunch. And while they were putting back the manhole cover and mopping up the hydraulic oil I went for my constitutional that I had missed because of the short lunch break.

We are closing in on Tokyo and the weather is very nice, it has been very hot until today but today it was like a Swedish summer and it was lovely on deck. Now we have tested almost everything, just the IG plant and the alarms to be tested and we had planned to do this after the coffee break in the afternoon. The Engineers had done their tests but I had been busy so we did the test run after the coffee break.

Yet another day behind us and we expect to arrive to the Pilot station early Saturday morning, good, the guys can go ashore for some shopping. And I have given them a “shopping list” I forgot my back up camera and loud speakers at home. And I need 1 or 2 big beer glasses for my tea and I will Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st hopefully have all this stuff when we leave Chiba for Singapore on Sunday.

We watched a after dinner movie and as our Cadet said when we finally had reached the end:
- D va en førfærlig film!
- It was a terrible movie!
- Siggen skid!
I agreed with him and we both agreed on that it had been almost 2 hours wasted on our lives when we could have studied instead. But I had some time to Learn Thai with Mod and the Alif Silpachai videos. And I will Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st hopefully open my Thai books when going to bed.

But there is a problem!

When I joined the ship I was staying in the spare cabin and I had a quilt (comforter in America) that must have been 50 cm thick. The best quilt (comforter in America) I have ever experienced on a ship. Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st Hmm, maybe the best ever, except of course for my own “Made in Sweden” 1000$ Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.stdown quilt that I use at home. Well, anyway, I go to bed with my Thai books and I'm soon wrapped up in this quilt and half asleep.

Of course, when the Chief Officer left I brought the quilt from the spare cabin to Chief Officer's cabin and the quilt might be a reason for me to be full of vim most of the mornings when my alarm goes off. But I will try to get through the books today.

and it had been late before I got to bed so I was a wee bit tired when my alarm went off. I only wish that it had been because of me reading my Thai books. But I turned off the light without even thinking about my books.

Well, a lemon flavored magnesium “FIZZ” drink Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st and some vitamin tablets later and I was quite OK. I read some e-mails while drinking my lemon flavored magnesium “FIZZ” drink and there Mersey Shippingwas a e-mail from my friend running the MERSEY SHIPPING - a popular blog about scrapped ships

have for sure got more visitors from his page than he had received from my page.

One guy had seen my FLAG COUNTER and he asked why I had so many visitors from UK.

Well, turned out that most of these visitors are coming from MERSEY SHIPPING. But I didn't know it back then, but since I joined something with Google it is very easy to see where the visitors are coming from.
Well, anyway, I stepped inside my office at 8 o'clock and the crew was waiting for me.

We arrive tomorrow so we will wash down the ship today and I sent the crew out on deck to start the job on deck. Pump Man and our Cadet were going to purge our pumps.
Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st - No group hug today?
- No! GET OUT ON DECK! Yet another Smiley on www.aladdin.st
The crew looked disappointed
- Roy Maersk no good!
- OK, I have something for you! I said.
I asked them to stand in a circle and when I had them arranged in a nice circle I asked them to bend over just a wee bit. When they were in position I told them that we had new routines on board called the GOOD MORNING SPANKING®
- SO LET'S START THE SPANKING!!

When they had got enough they were off to deck to start today's job and I could start with the cargo heating logs and reports. We had a meeting after lunch and the whole day passed by pretty quickly. Time is quick when we have plenty to do and yet again, I returned to my cabin pretty pleased after a day of work on deck. And I'm very happy to have a good crew on board, a bunch of ass kickers. Literally, ass kickers as we learned this very morning.

Well, we're just about to have enough of this ghastliness and as we arrive to Chiba tomorrow I take this opportunity to split the month of October 2013 in to a second part.
