  Sunday 4th of December 2016 and today there was no need to go to get a permission form the forest office. So we could take off at 6 o'clock. Otherwise we have to wait until 6 thirty when the forest office open. But today we took right off towards the territory of a tiger called “the big boss” and it was a beautiful morning. Low water and it was beautiful in the delta. I was soon served breakfast and I enjoyed the food up front of the boat watching the nature passing by. The first hour is a little chilli but then it is getting quite comfortable. When cruising against the sun I try to take cover in the shadow. OK, let's keep our eyes open for tigers!  Time to leave, but we had to wait for the “Tea” Man

 A gorgeous morning
It really was a gorgeous morning. In the first narrow channel we were very lucky with the Common Kingfisher. I have never seen so many Common Kingfishers before. Hundreds of pictures and I decided not to stop to get any more pictures of the Common Kingfisher. Seriously, how many pictures of the Common Kingfisher do I need? I have enough for this time. A picture of a tiger would be nice, but so far no luck with the tiger. We ran out of the channel and now there were no more Common Kingfishers. We saw a Collared Kingfisher and after that it was only Black-capped Kingfishers. I want to see more Brown-winged Kingfishers and a Ruddy Kingfisher. I have had plenty of the Collared, Black-capped and Common Kingfishers. We were soon running in to more excitements as there was a crocodile sun bathing on the “big boss” island. Never a boring moment here in Sundarban, not even if we don't see any tigers.  Collared Kingfisher

The day came to an end, no tigers but it had been a gorgeous day cruising around in the Sundarban delta. We had seen a lot, well, almost everything, but the tiger is still missing. Maybe better luck tomorrow  I'm lucky with the food, Indian food, I have been in India before and I was for sure not eating at their restaurants after having seen their disgusting kitchen.
So I eat the Indian spinach and the bread when at any Indian restaurant in Bangkok etc. But here, all the food is excellent. But I avoid looking in to the kitchen. I really concentrate. - Don't look in to the kitchen Well, it is more like. - Don't look in where they cook, don't look in where they cook, don't look in where they cook I have avoided looking in to the cooking area and the food have been gorgeous, and all the meals! So I'm looking forward to three meals tomorrow. But the big question, are we going to see any tiger? Click HERE to find out. Anyway, it promise to be fun. |
