Monday 22nd of May 2017 and today I have to go look for everything I took pictures of yesterday. As I lost my pictures from my afternoon safari yesterday.
I got the Paradise flycatcher, and the Red-wattled Lapwing nest with the eggs. So all these pictures are on the page from yesterday afternoon. As you can imagine, I was not very happy to have lost the pictures. I got the important pictures today and when we went to get the Red-wattled Lapwing nest we spotted a Pelican.

Sirkeer Malkoha or Sirkeer Cuckoo
We spotted quite a few birds, the Sirkeer Malkoha but the bird was too far away for any good pictures. I got good pictures of the Sri Lankan Green pigeon yesterday. An endemic bird and, well, the pictures are gone. We saw the bird today but too far away.
No leopards or bears, but I will be very happy even if we don't see any more of them as we have had some beautiful sightings. So I'm very happy with the safari already. And I'm also very happy with the bird watching so it had been a very good few days in the wild.
Time passed by quickly and we started to drive back to the gate. By now I know the stretch of road. We stopped to have yet another look so the Paradise Flycatcher was OK. We hope to have plenty more of the beautiful bird in the park in the future.
I saw one in India and I kept count of them here, but after 10 I gave it up and now I have seen so many of the beautiful bird. But they are very hard to get on picture as they move around all the time. Well, of course not when they are sitting on eggs.

It is always nice to be back in the room after a day in the wild. A shower and I call the restaurant. They send fruit salad and tea that I'm enjoying while watching the photos from the park. Some sleep and I will be back in the jeep in a few hours. Just click HERE to find out what we find in the wilderness tomorrow.
OK, it has come to my knowledge that we have senior citizens visiting my web page. How hard can it be? So it's not very easy for them to see the blue coloured links to the next page.
