Wednesday 18th of January 2017 and my alarm went of quarter past 6 and I was soon asleep again. I had set my alarm to go off at 6 thirty as well. Tea and a omelette and I was in the reception at 8 o'clock. The driver was waiting for me and it was time to leave the Sindhu Mertha Suite.
Not a luxury hotel, but for the price it was very nice. But if I come back to Bali I will stay at a real hotel. Or at least at a place close to a wee bit more lively area. But it gave been very OK. Taxi to Kuta was about 80 000 Scooby Doo dollars, 100 000 with the tip. And I just go for a short trip for dinner and a walk.
As I have to get up early every day I was back early and I was asleep around 11. But I never got any good sleep at the Sindhu Mertha Suite. The bed was god so I really don't know why I could not sleep. At Sindhu Mertha Guesthouse I slept like a baby.
Sindhu Mertha Suite and Sindhu Mertha Guesthouse, almost the same. But the bathroom at the Sindhu Mertha Suite had an open shower or whatever they call it. No ceiling over the shower and it is open for the elements. Second time I stay at a hotel with an open shower. Here and one time in Thailand.
In Thailand there was a door to the shower so no risk for any snakes etc. coming in to the bathroom.
But here was no door so I had to have the door closed to the bathroom. Of course, I only had showers in day light so I could keep an eye on the trees above so no snakes and other dangers falling down on me. But I understand the concept, it was very nice to have a shower in the open.
We were soon on the way to Ngurah Rai International and it took us 20 to 30 minutes to get there. And as previous days, it was nice to get out of the Suzuki van.
Ngurah Rai International
I'm lucky not to be on that flight
On my way to the lounge on the second floor

Leaving Bali behind
I passed the security and I was at Singapore Airlines check-in 20 minutes before 9. They didn't open until 9 so I went to kill time playing a game on my phone. Check in and I had to pass security again and then immigration. It went pretty quick and I was soon in an unimpressive lounge.
Time passed quickly as I kept myself busy with my pictures and I cannot say that I'm very happy with the underwater pictures. More practise and training is required. But still only some random whale sharks in Donsol. So we will see if I can go there.
I finished the movie I had started coming here and I started another movie that I will finish on the Singapore to Bangkok leg. We arrived to Changi and the gate was next to the gate where my flight to Bangkok will depart. I had an hour to kill and I walked around on Changi International.
I had to pass a security (AGAIN) when I came off the flight. Something they call arrival security check. They come up with all these stupid things, seems like the only one manage to pass is the terrorists. There is an artificial oasis at Changi Airport and this is something of the most scary I have experience in a very long time.
They have an artificial oasis, and yes, it is a beautiful oasis. There is even frog sounds and people are busy taking selfies. What is the scary part? People are here taking selfies admirer the beauty. But when they come to the real thing it is just to throw garbage and disrespect of the nature that feed us and keep us alive. Human behaviour is very scary!
Flying over SE Asia and you can see that there isn't much of the nature remaining. And soon we have managed to kill all the life in our oceans also. And the oceans is what gives life to us.
Malaysia, beautifully green and it looks like a jungle. But looking closer and it is all palm oil plantation. Anyway, I had to pass a fourth (!) security before I could board Singapore Airlines flight to Bangkok. I finished the movie I had started flying from Bali.
Heavy traffic in Bangkok
Well, back in BAngkok and I have to go check out the Cattle Egrets in Suna Rot Fai to see how long after the Cattle Egrets in Bali with their breeding plumage. So you just need to click HERE to see if I found any birds in Suan Rot Fai
I go to buy fruit first thing when I'm back home
Yeah, well, just to let you know how serious I am with my diet
OK, it has come to my knowledge that we have senior citizens visiting my web page. How hard can it be? So it's not very easy for them to see the blue coloured links to the next page.
