  Saturday 4th of November 2017 and I went out of bed at the second wake-up call. A Pepsi MAX to wake up and looking out the window, still dark. I have my breakfast and I leave the hotel when we have daylight. Gloom and grey for long as I can see. And it looks to be raining any second. We reach Hindhede Nature Park in the Bukit Timah nature reserve and I walk up a path in to the forest. I can hear a lot of birds, but I cannot see them. Only a few high up in the trees, nothing I even tried to get on picture. But it sounded to be a lot of different exotic birds in the forest. I came to a concrete path and the platform at the Hindhede Quarry. Saturday morning and here was a lot of people. I made a mental not to come back here on a weekday.   Bigger map, click HERE

I left the platform deciding to walk back to the parking lot. There are a few paths going up the Bukit Timah nature reserve from the visitor centre. But coming there and it was so much people going up the hill. School classes and I just knew that it would net be a good day for bird watching at the Bukit Timah nature reserve I checked my phone and I decided to go to the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve on the north side of the island. And there will not be much of time for birding. So I decided to try to cover as many places as possible to learn to know the different places for my next time in Singapore.  Bee Eaters

Disappointed with the birding, but happy with my plan to do the scouting of the areas of interest for my next visit. I called a UBER car and we were soon on our way to the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. Click HERE if you want to know more about that area.
